Hi,
I would like to interconnect one HP C7000 Blade Center to our SAN Network.
As described in the attached file, the SAN network consist of two (02) fabrics based exclusively on Cisco MDS 9124 FC switches.
The HP C7000 Blade Center is equiped of two (02) Brocade FC Switches.
Our objective is to install a VMWare VSphere ESXi 5.0 on the blade servers, and permitting to virtual machines to get access to the SAN for gettig their own storage.
According Cisco and Brocade documentation, here what I have implemented :
- Activation of NPIV and Access Gateway Mode for Brocade FC switches
- NPIV activation on Cisco MDS 9124 switches
When I open Cisco Fabric Manager I can see Brocade FC switches as Nodes.
My questions are :
1) How can I make zonning in order to give storage for my balde servers ?
- Using only Cisco Fabric Manager ?
- Or, using Cisco Fabric Manager and Brocade CLI ?
2) What consideration to take about Interoperability mode between to FC switches from different manifacturer ?
