Is there any way to stop port from getting disabled because of “pauseRateLimitErrDisable”?

Hello,

One of my 5020 port is going disabled due to excessive pause it is receiving.

The Cisco switch disables the port and will recover from the error based on the recovery setting and recovery interval. Unfortunately the minimum interval is 30 seconds and i dont want to wait 30 secs for recovery due to some test i am doing. I would like to find out if there is a way to stop port getting disabled because of “pauseRateLimitErrDisable” error.

Thanks.

Hello Niranjan

I do not see an option just for pause-rate-limit. Can you try disabling it for all and see it disables it for pause-rate-limit as well?

20-08-5020-A(config)# no errdisable detect cause ?

all        Enable error detection on all cases

link-flap  Enable error disable detection on linkstate-flapping

loopback   Enable error disable detection on loopback

20-08-5020-A(config)# no errdisable detect cause

Since you know a server is doing it, I would investigate why its sending so much pause.

Thanks
