in fiber channe world you have concepts of "fabrics", Fabric A and Fabric B. They should be independent of each other. This is a good document to review

are you referring to host based multipathing ? Where you present a LUN/Volume from a storage array via multiple ports/HBAs and use multipathing software to aggregrate those individual paths into one multipath device ?

you need to review both SAN design best practices as well as your storage vendor host connectivity best practices.

ok but how can I configure multipath in a 9100 mds?

you don't configure multipathing on MDS swithes. You should download Cisco MDS documentation/admin guides, best practices guides.
