Hello,

This is a bug, see CSCtq15459 Fixed at firmware 5.0(7) and above.  The value returned to Fabric Manager via SNMP was incorrect when there was only one power supply installed.  If there are two supplies installed and one is failing, then the status would have been correct.  However, with only one supply installed, the missing supply should not be marked "offEnvPower" as it is "absent".

Regards,

Jim

Hello,

There is no other way to suppress this messages from FM. FM is just a snmp tools to collect information from the switch. You may need to purchase an adition power supply for redudancy as well as suppress the messages

Hi Vu,

Thanks for your reply.

Per your response:

'You may need to purchase an adition power supply for redudancy as well as suppress the messages'

What do you mean 'suppress the messages' - How do you do this in this instance?

thanks!

Hello,

When plug in additional power supply, the switch will automatically recognize the PS as redundant PS, and then FM will automatically update and thus the module warning in FM will go away. the status should display ok.
