Hi, we are connecting Nexus 5548UP with Dell Storage over fibre channel ports, the port status is showing "link not failed or Not connected" when I put the speed 8Gb, but when the speed mode is auto it sets the speed to 4gb and the ;ink status is coming UP, but after few moments the link goes down and generate the following message,

Kidnly let me know what could be possible issue though the required features are enabled (fcoe,lldp,npiv)

Hi,
LLDP and NPIV are not related here since you are facing an issue with the initial connectivity.
LLDP is used with FCoE and NPIV is used when you are connecting an NPV switch and allowing multiple flogis to come from F port.
I would reccomand verifying the type of SPFs that you are using on both ends. it must match the same wavelength (nanometers) and fiber type.
for example DS-SFP-FC8G-LW will not operate with DS-SFP-FC8G-SW.
