Nexus 7010 Cards in VDC

Hi

We have 2 Nexus 7010 switches with the following ethernet modules

N7K-M132XP-12L (VDC Fabric)

N7K-F248XP-25E (VDC Routing)

Currently only the N7K-F248XP-25E is in use for both switching and routing and all ports are in the Fabric VDC. The N7K-M132XP-12L module is assigned to the Routing VDC but is not in use as none of its ports are patched so a waste of a module (the nexus's were installed by a third party)

I want to re-allocate the ports in the N7K-M132XP-12L module to the Fabric VDC so that I can start using these ports as ports in the VDC are getting close to full capacity.

Will both of these modules work together in a single VDC? I am not using anything too fancy, just normal routing and switching with a few VPCs.

Thanks

F2 cannot share a VDC with M1/M2/F1.

This is not supported yet. It will create forwarding issues as the forwarding engines of LC's are incompatible when communicating through the fabric. This is a hardware limitation.
