Hi

On running the cmd:

show tech-support > bootflash:TechSupport.txt

on a Cisco MDS 9700 series switch, it shows

write error: no space left on the device.

Hi,

Looking at this I see that bootflash: is 68% full on the active sup and 99% on the standby sup.

You can see what is using this space ( I suspect old versions of firmware or configuration backups ) by doing:

dir bootflash: <<<< active sup

dir bootflash://sup-remote/ <<< standby sup

You can delete unwanted files with:

delete bootflash:<filename>

delete bootflash://sup-remote/<filename>

Do not delete the kickstart and system image form the current running version.
