Support for Get Fabric Name (GFN) request

I would like to know whether Cisco Fabrics (FC & FCoE) support the Get Fabric Name (GFN) FC-GS request. Do the presence of VSANs in the Fabric impact the support for GFN in any way?

Hello,

I did a quick Cisco internal search and found evidence that the MDS series of switches do support GFN.

VSANs are always present when an MDS is involved, so the presence of VSANs would would not ipact

the GFN issue.

The above apply to the Fibre Channel side of your question.
