Could you plz anyone tell me what's different between Extender Fabric, Fiber Interconnect and Fiber channel Storage SW?

Indeed very strange
Fabric Interconnect = UCS Fabric Interconnect 6248 or 6296
Fabric Extender = UCS IOM 2204 or 2208
Fibre Channel storage switch = Cisco MDS or Nexus 5k
