Hi

If i have UCS 6248UP connect to UCS 2204XP, do i need Transceiver in UCS 6248UP?,  one more thing what cable type i need to provide 10GB between Extender and Fabric Switch

Yes ! This cables inter connect the UCS 2204XP in the Chassis with the Fabric interconnect UCS 6248UP, without requiring any other Transceivers.

Do i need "Fabric Interconnect Cluster Sync" between two UCS 6248UP, if they both connect to One Chassis

Hi

Yes, it's mandatory for a FI (6248) Cluster configuration. Distance Limitation: 100 m; copper (1G Ethernet) cable back to back, no Switch in between.

The IOM (2204/2208) in the Chassis connect only to one FI (6248); no dual homing.

IOM left, FI left, or IOM fabric A, FI A

IOM right, FI right or IOM fabric B, FI B
