As part of the upgrade the 2 images are copied from the active supervisor, the one the box is currently operating on, to the backup supervisor. What this message is saying is that the standby supervisor does not have enough free storage to hold both images.

Issue this command to see what supervisor you are on.

show mod

Look for the module with the status of Standby.

Then issue this command to attach to it.

attach module x (x is the number of the module).

The prompt should show (standby) in it at this point.

Now you can issue this command to see the files on the bootflash:

dir bootflash:

Erase any old images with the command

del bootflash:

Once completed, issue the 'exit' command to return to the active supervisor, and attempt the upgrade again.

Hope this helps,

Mike
