Will changing port rate mode from dedicated to shared on MDS-9513 bounce port?

I have some over-provisioned modules on some of my switches and need to change the rate mode on some ports from dedicated to shared.  Will the change disrupt the traffic on the affected ports?

Hi Mates,

Facing below error while changing port rate-mode to shared from dedicated. Can some one help, i am new in MDS.

# switchport rate-mode shared
fc1/1: (error) Invalid rate mode for the port

Run:

show port-resources module 1 (or what ever module line card your ports in question are in)

and past the output here.
