Cisco C2960 IOS query

Hi All,

Hope you all doing well.

I have small query with Cisco 2960 switch IOS.

We are using A end WS-C2960-24TC-S switch with OS "c2960-lanlitek9-mz.122-55.SE5.bin".

on gig port of the switch Gi 0/1 and Gi 0/2 we are not able to set port setting forcefully 1000/full.

And B end is WS-C2960-24TT-L with OS "c2960-lanbasek9-mz.122-55.SE.bin". And here i can set forcefully.

While keeping setting as auto, A end shows a-1000/a-full but B end it is negotiating with a-100/a-full only.

Kindly suggest on OS upgradation or degradation.

Thanks & Regards,

Swapnil

On the WS-C2960-24TC-S they are dual purpose ports, so I'm not surprised they are not as flexible.

Are you sure you are using the Gigabit uplinks on the WS-C2960-24TT-L?

Assuming you are using the Gigabit ports on both ends it smells to me like you have a cabling issue.  Do you have different cables you can try?  Are you using ordinary Cat5e (which has 4 pairs) or better?  If all four pairs are not correctly connected then the switch will drop back to 100Mb/s - which is what you are getting.
