Is there a way to check previous owner of Cisco product

Our department got few used Cisco network gear and telepresence units off ebay/amazon. Is there a way to check by s/n who previous owners of the gear were?

Probably not. I got some used stuff on ebay; mostly switches; 2 voice routers but all those came without the previous owner info.
you can check flash for clues. some info maybe still left over on files like config.text or vlan . dat files.

No possible and this is due to "privacy" and security reasons.
There is no way to determine if the gears you've purchased off the gray market is "hot" or not.
