Hi

We have 4xSG500-28-K9 V04 and 1xSG500-52-K9 switches in a stack in the ring topology.
My questions.

I plans Replace switch 24 ports (number 3 in stock) to 48 ports. I would like to know what actions should be Performed in this case.

Is the configuration that was used on the 24 port will be Transferred to a new 48-port swich?

Ports from 25 to 48 will have the default settings?

How did the master will know That it has to load the configuration port on the new switch?

While 26 port used for any other purpose. Do I need to restore it to factory settings to the master did not load him again the same settings, then its number in the stack you next. In this case, the number 6?

Thank you for your help

PS. I gird for my English :)

This is the level of support you get from this forum?

I have to replace a switch in a stack.  I would like it to take over as Switch 1, which is not the master.   is stacking number assigned by the arrangement of the cables? it doesn't seem like it is.

This newer switch has a newer software version, I would guess that I need to upgrade the other switches before it will stack?

1.4.1.3 in the current stack, 1.4.2.4 in the new switch.
