SB 500 Switch, multiple vlans, 1 shared

Hi,

I'm trying to configure this switch for a new campus network, with 7 different vlans.  They want 1 vlan to be shared, for printers, scanners, Apple TVs, etc, and 3 other vlans to have access to that one.  And all to get out to Internet.

So...

vlan1 = students

vlan2 = teachers

vlan3 = admin

vlan4 = shared devices

Trunk interface is configured with all vlans tagged, trunk is tied to trust Ethernet on a firewall

What I've tried is:

switchport mode general

switchport general vlan 1 tagged, vlan 4 untagged

pvid = vlan1

With that configuration I can't get out to Internet, and also can't ping vlan4 IP from vlan1 device

So I tried changing both to untagged, same result.  Only if I change the port back to access mode, with a single vlan can I get to Internet - but I can't access shared devices that way.

How do I do this?
