I have a number of SG300-20 switches in production as well as ready standby pre-configured units. In this case we are dealing with v02 with FW 1.4.9.4 and Boot 1.3.5.06.
One unit is in production. I have uploaded its configuration to a laptop and am trying to download it into a unit for standby - same V02, FW and Boot versions. I do this sort of operation fairly frequently.
The http file transfer runs forever and there is never any number of bytes shown in the background (as would be usual). I've tried different ports.
- Why would this be happening?
- What might be an alternate approach?
While this standby unit seems to be working otherwise, it had refused to respond to http management in the recent past. It's been reset to factory defaults and had the firmware and boot software brought up to the latest versions.
Is it time to retire it?
