Hi

We have a coupple of SG300-52 that we have lost our passwords for. So we have reset them by pushing the reset button for 30sec. The config is reset successfull because the ip changes to default (192.168.1.254).

However, on the web gui (and ssh) cisco/cisco is not accepted. We have also tried connecting to console without beein able to get a connectiond nomatter which baudrate is beeing used.

Is there anything else we can try to regain access to theese switches?

Thanks.

Hi,

Yes you can try to reset/ignore the password only in the boot menu. Please see the document which would guide you very well:

Hi Aleksandra,

We tried that, but with no sucess with obtaining concole access. Today however we managed it with another computer with COM port.

We could now log in with console with cisco/cisco. But on the web console cisco/cisco is not working, we get wrong password message. Any ideas? We need web login to be able to configure vlans.

Hi,

Please note that you should be able to make factory reset and even VLAN configuration via CLI.

You might have only see menu based CLI if you have the very old firmware so perhaps it would be good idea to start with firmware upgrade:

http://software.cisco.com/download/release.html?mdfid=283019669&softwareid=282463181&release=1.4.0.88&relind=AVAILABLE&rellifecycle=&reltype=latest

Before that you should be able to perform factory reset via CLI either by choosing option from the menu or by typing "delete startup-config" and "reload". All depends on the firmware.

Since there are many assumptions I would suggest you to call Small Business Team and they would assist you:
