SG500-52P - Add to Network

Hello,

I was hoping someone could help with a potentially easy (stupid) question.  I have powered up the switch and the system light is blinking green.  Now I want to and want to add it to an existing network.  According to the quick start guide, when I connect a laptop to one of the ports (which lights green), I should be able to configure the switch through a browser interface.  Initially I tried the factory default http://192.168.1.254 but receive a "You're not connected to a network" error.  Next, I tried to assign a static IP on the network adaptor.  After, when I tried to connect to the browser using that IP, I got the same result.

Any advice?

Thanks,

Tom

have you tried to give your self the ip address of 192.168.1.250 and tried your browser again. also see if you can ping or ssh into it.

That worked!  Thanks a million for your help!
