Static IP address greyed out on SG250-08HP

How do you change from DHCP to static IP address on the SG250-08HP

I'm trying to change the IP address of the switch from Dynamic to Static. However, when I go to VLAN1 in IPV4 management the option is greyed out.

Am I missing something obvious?

I've tried in both Basic and Advanced mode but they don't make any difference.

The suggestion of temporarily assigning a VLAN and IP address to that, then deleting and replacing the original 192.168.1.254 IP address used to work, but now hangs the switch whenever a second IP address is assigned, even to a VLAN.

Instead using the Configuration Wizard to directly change the IP address without needing the intermediate step of the temporary VLAN. The progress hangs at 25%, but that is apparently when it changes the IP address, so the new IP address is actually assigned then.
