Good Morning,

I hope somebody can shed some light on this issue.

We had a 6500 switch reload (runs on 12.2 ADVIPSERVICES_WAN-M) and our engineer had noted that "OUTPUT FAIL" indicator was red on the back of the Power Supply.

I was wondering if someone can see any corellation between those two (except the power supply unit failure) ?

I also want to add that we have just established additional iBGP session with another devices, so a big number of routes was learn by the device that has reloaded, and it has happend when the traffic started to increase in the early business hours

Regards,

OUTPUT FAIL normally means that the output extraction fan of the said power supply is jammed.  You need to take a small stick and prod it.
