10GBASE-CU SFP+ Cable

In core switch [Distribution layer] I am using WS-C3850-12S-E switch.

Server Layer I am using switch : WS-C3560X & WS-C3560X both these switches are using C3KX-NM-1G module

My Question is: If I use 10GBASE-CU SFP+ cable for my ether channel between my Distribution and Core layer and routed ports between Distribution and Core layer, will it auto negotiate the speed ?

See the attachment

I checked data sheet I didn't get proper answer.

I'm not sure of the answer.

You are connect SFP to SFP ports.  I think the may not recognise the SFP+ cable.  Not sure.  I'd probably goes go with the GLC-T= and use ordinary patch leads.

Hi Philip

Thanks for your update.

In that case I can't use these cables for my  cross connections also [Distribution to Server Layer]

I should go with GLC-SX-MMD = with OM3 Cable

is this right ?

That would be a safe option.

Thanks.

It would be great if you could rate and mark helpful responses.  :-)
