Hi all.
I want to clear out this confusion once and for all :-(
1 Gig port on a switch working as full duplex mode means
a) Send data at 1 Gb and receive at 1 Gb
b) Send data at 500 Mb and receive at 500 Mb
Kindly guide

Sir i asked this because i was reading a slide from ciscolive365.com
https://www.ciscolive365.com/connect/sessionDetail.ww?SESSION_ID=2874&backBtn=true
Sir at page 19 they are saying that if we have 2 switches connected by 10 links of 1G each, bandwidth will be 10 Gbps but flow bandwidth would be 1 Gbps and latecny would be 20us
If we connect 2 switches by 1 link of 10G then flow bandwidth would be 10Gbps with latency 2us.
Sir what is flow bandwidth ?

Flows are from source to destination, i.e. unidirectional, so on a gig duplex link, max bandwidth for the flow would be gig. However, a return flow, going in the opposite direction, would also have gig bandwidth on a gig duplex link. So on a gig duplex link, you can have two flows, going in opposite directions, each obtaining gig bandwidth.
