2600 not recognizing nm-1e network module

I have just installed - Cisco NM-1E-2W Dual-WIC Network Module w Ethernet - in a 2600 but it is not recognized. When I do show-ip-interface-brief, all interfaces are listed but not e0.

Do I have to install a driver too?

You may need to update the IOS and / or that NetMod may not be compatible with your chassis.

Post up some details (like a SHOW VER) and or take a look at the "Compatibility Matrix" on Cisco's main site (under Support / Tools)

The NM1E-2W is not compatible with the 26xx series routers.
