Hello,
I have a series of 15 switches I was attempting to block point to the MR release of c2960-lanbasek9-mz.122-55.SE10.bin
I have a Cisco 2960-24PC-L switch that would not boot. It is stuck in a boot loop with the following error:
: Unexpected exception to CPUvector 0, PC = 628378
-Traceback= 628378
I attempted the process found here:
http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/switches/catalyst-2950-series-switches/41845-192.html
Two problems, first is the the load_helper command does not work. It errors with "unknown cmd: load_helper"
Second attempting to use the command "copy xmodem: flash:...." fails because it tells me there is no xmodem
which is probably because of the failed "load_helper" issue. Lastly if I attempt to initiate the file transfer from my
laptop it eventually fails telling me that the remote end is not receiving, even though the screen says the following:
switch:
Transferring , errors 11...Press Ctrl+C to cancel.
But it eventually fails.
Please help me solve this problem. Thanks

Post the entire bootup process. I want to see the error messages.

Sorry, I have solved my problem. I still don't know why the image was corrupt. But I was able to push via xmodem another version.

Hi Larry,
What did you do to make this work, because I am having the same problem with securecrt
I get the error message "Xmodem operation was canceled by remote peer"
I am trying to trabsfer on to a C3650, please help?
