2960G Switch - connected to 4510R - not routing VLAN 40 to VLAN 11 ?

One of our 2960G switches failed, which we replaced but did not have a current config.

Now a user on VLAN 40 cannot access shared drives on VLAN 11 ?

I tried the IP ROUTING command on the 2960G but it is not available.

Other VLANs 30 and 50 can access the VLAN 11 shared drives - why not VLAN 40?

Is there some route blocking on the 4510 switch for the VLAN 40?

check following configuration to be correct:

1- vlan 40: no shutdown

2- trunk port is formed in newly added switch'

3- vlan 40 is allowed on trunk port and not pruned

these configurations also must be running on 4510
