Lagging viewing on live CCTV footage of PC connected to 2960x (access switch) with 20Gbps uplink going to 4500x (core switch)
But when the PC is directly connected to 4500x (core switch) the viewing is OK, no lag.
We are using Milestone in viewing the CCTV footages, and Axis for IP cameras. Recording Servers are connected to 4500x core switch
All cameras are HD. When seen in the monitoring tool, the PC for viewing, the traffic can reach up to 500Mbps when viewing multiple cameras at a time. Cameras, Recording Server and PC are in different vlans. The traffic flow is like this, IP cameras will send data to Recording server, then the server will record the data in a storage server, while sending it to the PC for live viewing.
No QoS configured on the switch since the network is purely intended for CCTVs.
Core switch: 4500x-Vss
Access switch: 2960x (20Gbps uplink)
Any idea regarding this issue? Does 2960x capable of processing huge amount of packets?

Did you check the interfaces for any drops?
Also try checking the below
sh platform port-asic stats drop
sh platform tcam utilization

By the way, the IOS of 2960x is c2960x-universalk9-mz.150-2a.EX5.bin
I also tried increasing the MTU for jumbo frames, changed the input queue to 2000 (like on 4500x) and enabled the flowcontrol receive, but still, there are mini pauses while viewing the live cctv footage.
