Hi.. can we stack eight 2960X switches with 0.5 mtr stack cable which ships default with switch. If yes then how and will it provide full redundancy.
OR I have to use a long stack cable.

First, I wouldn't stack that many switches, Two stacks with four switches each will often behave more "smoothly".
If you still want to stack many switches, and accept some, "stack-member-confusion" then you could build your stack-ring with only short cables:

Hi Karsten, Thanks but can you share cisco document stating that putting more than 4 switches in stack may cause some challenges, because I would need it to share with top management.
