3750 stack issue ...

Hi,

I have this issue on my 3750 stack which comprises of two 3750.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

show switch stack-ports

Switch #    Port 1       Port 2

  --------        ------       ------

    1           Ok          Down

    2          Down          Ok

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have tried tightening the cable but still get this error messages. Could this be a faulty stack cable ?

The other thing that I can do is swap the stack cables and see what kind of error message that I am getting.

Would like to know what else I can do to fix the issue.

Cheers,

It looks like there may be an issue with the stack cable. If it's possible to swap the cables you would know for sure.

Do you have another stack cable lying around? Also, when did this start happending? Did it happen all of a sudden or while a stack cable was being replaced.

Hi John,

These are new 3750-X switches. The weird thing is that I am getting the same issue on two different stacks (both stacks are new ) whereby they both are stacked with two switches.

The weird path is that both the stacks have the same ports that are down.

I am going to swap the cables a bit later on and will let you know on how I go.

Many thanks.

Cheers,
