3850 IOS install

I have a blank 3850 with nothing in the flash:

I downloaded the IOS i want from the Cisco site, but its a .bin file

I noticed that most 3850 switches now have some sort of .pkg file in the flash which installs base features and capabilities. Can I tftp this .bin file to the flash: and it work the way a 3750 would? or do I need to find this so called .pkg file?

If you have copied the bin file to your flash you next need to install the file(s)

software install file flash:YOUR FILE NAME.bin

This will expand the .bin into the package files required

But please read the book.
