i have two 4500x in vss mode configured as layer 2 switch (with no ip routing).
the same config on a 4500x in standalone mode working well.
i have only one svi and from this I can't reach the default gateway (another 4500x).
But if I connect a pc on an access port (same vlan of the svi) of the two 4500x in vss mode reach all the ip of the vlan expect the default gateway.
if I connect the 2 switch to the standalone (that are working) I can ping the ip of the standalone but not vice versa.
To sum up:
2 4500x in vss connected at default gateway: doesn't reach anything
2 4500x connected at layer 2 switch: reach the switch but not the default gateway
pc on same vlan of the vss switch: reach the vss switch and everything on vlan but not the default gateway
same config on standalone: all work well
the links between the switch are a simple trunk without pruning.
