Hi,
We have an end customer that wants to buy a 4503-E switch, but as shows in datasheet page it was released to sale in 2007, so it looks like it was a long time ago and end customer doesn't wants a device that could be near of EoS and EoL. End customer wants that this switch could have support at least 5years witouh EoS or EoL. We want to recomend a family more modern or actual, like a Catalyst 9400.
My question is:
Do you think there will be an announcement for EoS and EoL for this product next 5 years or less?

The entire Catalyst 4K will be replaced by the Catalyst 9K range. 4500E is already EoS (EoS Notice).
9400 is not necessarily the direct replacement of the 4K. It will depend entirely on how you want to use it. 9200 & 9300 are stackable switches 9400 and 9600 are chassis-based systems.
Talk to your Cisco AM/SE and see if they have a "deal" that you may avail in.

Hello,
I think the Catalyst 9600 is the latest (newest) model. You can purchase am Enhanced Limited Lifetime Hardware Warranty, which, in the event of discontinuance of product manufacture, extends warranty support to 5 years from the announcement of discontinuance.
Either way, none of the Catalyst 9K will be EoL/EoS within five years.
