Can the 4948 10GE connect using the 10Gig port (fiber) to a 3750 at a 1 gig rate?

Hi
No, as far as i know the 10Gb blade will only run at 10Gbps. it would be nice if it did run at 1Gbps because it would provide some level of future proofing.

Can I install a regular Two Gigabit Ethernet SFP Ports into the 10g module slots ?

The answer appears to be no. The TwinGig Converter Module, http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/switches/ps5718/ps7077/product_data_sheet0900aecd805bbee3.html, doesn't appear to be supported with the 4948 10GE, although it does with the 4900M and other switches with X2.

Hi there,
So, for the 3750E chassis or 4500 Sup 6 , I just need to get the twingig converter 2 x CVR-X2-SFP and 4 x GLC-SX-MM to make it 4 SFP ports ?
Thanks again.

Yes you are right. BTW twin-gig converter is shipped bydefault with both the switches.
