Hello everyone
I understand that applying egress queuing on a 6500 gigabit port is very platform and module specific, and in order to achieve that you need to follow the DSCP->CoS->wrr mapping path, and the work on the wrr queues.
I have a direct gigabit link between 2x6500s, one end goes to the port on the SUP720-3B engine and the other on the 6748copper module. These 2 ports have different hardware queueing characteristics (Number of queues and thresholds).
With the proper configuration of outbout queueing (assuming that all I care about is the priority queue, the rest of traffic will be treated shame), can I achieve proper congestion management, or because they are different type of ports I am going to have a problem?
I hope my question is clear, please ask me to elaborate and get into more detail if not.
