We have Cisco 6509, running IOS 12.2(18)SXF8, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc2). Here are some of the default configurations:
ipv6 mfib hardware-switching replication-mode ingress
vtp domain BLD
vtp mode transparent
mls ip multicast flow-stat-timer 9
no mls flow ip
no mls flow ipv6
no mls acl tcam share-global
mls cef error action freeze
vlan 1000
name native
We are still running ipv4. We want to hard code trunking. Is it necessary to remove the following statements since we want to hard code trunking?
vtp domain BLD
vtp mode transparent
vlan 1000
name native
=========================================================================================================
We want to add the following statements:
interface Vlan 600
ip address xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx 255.255.255.0
interface Vlan 700
ip address xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx 255.255.255.0
interface GigabitEthernet1/1
switchport
switchport trunk encapsulation dot1q
switchport trunk native vlan 1000
switchport trunk allowed vlan 600, 700
switch port mode trunk
switch port nonegotiate
no ip address
Do you see any problems with the configurations?
Thanks.
Diane

I'd leave the VTP settings as it is.
The config for the trunks are fine with me.
