6509 - ver 12.2(18) SXF15

We have a 6509 on ver 12.2(18) SXF 15. Is duplex settings on by default?

I receive duplex mismatch events on a interface showing that the interface is full duplex and the device is half duplex. however when I look at the device it shows full duplex.

the only options i have is to either set it at half or full - is there a option for auto like with speed auto?
