6513 Log messages

Hi all,

I am getting some odd messages on the switch logs & log server. Pls see below sample. Does anyone know what they mean?.

Hello Harry,

these messages are likely coming from some ASIC named Titan

I had a similar issue some times ago and we solved opening a case: with an IOS upgrade the problem was solved.

Open a Service Request you can have a faulty hardware or the current IOS doesn't support correctly some linecards

do you see all modules ok in sh module ?

Thanx for your response.....sh mod does show all linecards, IOS 12.1.23E.

I have two 6513's the other box has no Tiatan erors.

One of them either has debug on or "service internal" is enabled. It looks like the messages are internal messages. Check you're config on the switch logging the message and look for "service internal", if you see it remove it with "no service internal", if the message is continuous you should be able to verify if removing it made an immediate impact. try it and let us know.

Thanx for your response....have checked config, no mention of service internal being enabled, how do you check if debug is on?.
