7206VXR CF memory - won't format?!?

Recently ordered Cisco labeled MEM-NPE-G1-FLD256 for our 7206VXR. Front of the card says 16-2775-03. Everything I've found online shows the cards with 16-2768-01. Wondering if the vendor sent the wrong card?

I put the card in to format it and it wont. I get the following:

Try the delete and squeeze commands before formatting it, if not then you may have a bad PCMCIA card.

Here's an interesting situation though, I've got two identical 7206VXR's (both using an NPE-G1). One is running 15.0(1)M9, the other is running 12.4(22)T5. The router running the 15.0 train will format the CF card no problem, but the router running the 12.4 train will not. Weird...

It is weird, but then again it is Cisco. Every version of IOS can have different feature sets.

It could also be that 15.0 train supports more disk formats then 12.4 does.

Unfortunately, when it comes to IOS, there is no one size fits all
