A limit of 100 Mb on a 1.0 G interface

Hi all

We have a 6509-E Cisco Core switch with a 12.2(33)SXI3 IOS, some 1.0 Gbit interfaces are only offering 100 Mbit. I tried connecting by Laptop to a port and it took 1.0 Gbit. But when I tried another port with the same cable I got 100 Mbit. I tried fixing the speed on both ends but the port doesnt comes up

Is this related to a bug or somthing?

Thanks ,,

Hi Rami,

Can you clarify?

When you say, one port is 100 and one port is 1000, are these 2 ports are on the same blade or 2 different once?

if the same, how about the speed of all the other ports?

Reza

Hi Reza,

Actually it is the same module same device. So far most ports are giving 1 Gb but did not test all yet.

Thanks

Is the config on that port the same as the other ports?  If everything is the same, then you may want to reseat the module during an outage window and see if the problem goes away.

Reza

Hi

Yes both ports have same config, I also tries reseting the module with no help. I guess the only option is to open a TAC with Cisco.

Thanks
