Hello,
I have setup my routers to authenticate via radius, but I need to display a message when user connect to a switch or router when using SSH that radius is online so they know not to use the local passwords. Anyway it doesnt work for ssh, if I login in with telnet it does, I need them to work securely.
Can anyone shed some light on this?
Thanks

Can you post your banner config? If you set it up for a login it should work. What type of device is this?

I'm test on a 1841, but will also need to do it on a few 3750's and 2960's.
I don't think it can be done:

All I did was something like "aaa authentication banner $ text $"
Works for telnet.
Thanks

Would banner login $ test $ work for you?

Well I need to have a banner for when radius is working so it says somehting like "Radius authentication online" and shoud lit be down then it fails back to the local database and says something like "Local authenticaion only, Radius down".
But I'm not sure this is possible, do you?
