Actual 120V power consumption of an active PoE port for a Catalyst 3750X-48-PF Switch?

Hello,

Can anyone tell me what the typical 120V power consumption would be for each active PoE port on a C3750X-48-PF switch?

There's lots and lots of information on PoE power itself, but almost nothing about the real-world increase in power consumption per port in the server room.

I know the specific Powered Device, length of cabling, etc, would change the amount, but ballpark, what are we looking at?

I'm trying to see if the difference would be substantial enough to warrant powering down unnecessary POE devices through SNMP when running on a UPS.

Can anyone shed some light on this?

Thanks,
Nick

It is hard to tell as different devices can consume different wattages.  For example, a Cisco phone can consume 7 watts but a 3rd party POE camera can consume 15 watts or more. I don't think this number is that significant when it comes to choosing a UPS device.
