Adding extra module

Hi all,

I just got my Cisco 2921 router out of the box, added a 4 port Gigabit module to it and powered it on.  However, the router doesn't seem to recognize the 4 port module (show interfaces didn't show it).  Is there anything special that I need to do for it to show up?

What version of IOS are you running?

minimum needed is 15.1

Cisco 1921

15.1(2)T: IP Base License of the Universal Image

Look like I am running version 15.0

Cisco IOS Software, C1900 Software (C1900-UNIVERSALK9-M), Version 15.0(1)M4, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)

Does this mean I need to upgrade?  And why would the version matter when adding an extra module?
