adding stack switch 3750G

Hi all,

I have i task which is to add another stack switch to WS-C3750E-48PD-SF switch. My questions is, what should i consider before i adding the stack switch? do i need to configure new switch follow the existing one?

Really appreciate any comment on this.

Make sure the new switch member does not have any config, including VLAN.DAT file.

The new switch member should have exactly the same IOS version as the existing stack of switches.  When adding the new stack member to the stack always POWER OFF the new stack member before connecting/attaching the stacking cable.  Once one (of two) stacking cable is firmly secure is it then safe to power up the new stack member.
