Advice in selecting Switch Model

We are planning to upgrade our current 10/100 network infrastructure to 1G. This is single campus with around 120 users. The projected data load is primary from application softwares without Video and very limited voice. We will have around 10-12 VLANs.

The budget is not relaxed so can't really go with something above 3560X. Availability is crucial as we are into healthcare business.

My initial research is to go for below devices:

  • Access Switch - 2 x 48 Port L2 Switches (10/100/1000 with 10G SFP+ Uplinks)
  • L3 Switch/Core - 1 x 24 Port L3 Switch (10/100/1000 with 10G SFP+ Uplinks)

Below are the options I considered from the Cisco side.

PS: L2 and L3 are just symbolic denoting the purpose of the switch. I need atleast one switch which can do routing.

Option 1 (Very Much Budget Friendly. But not sure how good they are in the long run)

L2 - SG500X-48-K9-G5
L3 - SG500X-24P

Option 2

L2  SG500X-48-K9-G5
L3  WS-C2960XR-24TD-I  (IP Lite)

Option 3

L2  WS-C2960X-48TD-L
L3  WS-C2960XR-24TS-I (IP Lite)

What mix could be better for a scenario like this? In future, I may have to put (a max of) two more Access switches. In that case, Where do I connect those? To the L3 or to the L2 itself ?

Any advice appreciated.
