ARP Optimization support in SXI

Hi Everyone,

Just a quick question on the support for ARP optimization in SXI throttle for 6500. I know that it is listed as unsupported feature in SXH throttle.

Any help is appreciated.

Hi Sebastian,

As per CCO Feature Navigator "ARP Optimization" is supported in both trains 12.2(33)SXH and 12.2(33)SXI.

If you are referencing to the Release Notes for Cisco IOS Release 12.2(33)SXH and Later Releases,

section Unsupported Features and Commands,

which mention:
- ARP Optimization (CSCef30539)

It looks likre it's just talking about particular old DDTS CSCef30539 (dated 2005),

which according to developers
has been closed as U-Unreproducible w comments "No evidence this occurs on latest."
So this potentially means that the optimisation in the code was done under some other DDTSes

and as per FN it is available from the first rebuilds of SXH and SXI.
