ASA-SM ON BOARD CONSOLE

On the FWSM there is an onboard console port, on the ASASM were is it located.

After upgrading the ASASM from 8.5 to 9.0 the ASA-SM is not responding at all and shown as unknown in the show module command.  the status led on the module is RED.  tried the boot cf:1 cf:4 commands but nothing.  these commands are for the FWSM THOUGH. found no documentation for ASASM at all for troubleshooting or if these cf: commands are the same.

There is no physical console for the ASASM.

You should be able to use the service-module session command (link) to access the virtual console. You can observe the boot process after a module reset and see if rommon is perhaps not fining a valid image.
