I need some help with this question (below) please- I understand the answer is "b" and DNS can prevent browsing of webpages if configured incorrectly, but so can having the wrong default gateway. What specifically alludes to a DNS server address error here over a default gateway server address error- does it have something to do with the suffix issues? THANKS FOR YOUR HELP!!

Hello,
Understand your question and you raise a valid point regarding the default gateway. However, with the knowledge that the answer is "B", the following rational would apply:
A - Mac address: Short of configuring an invalid MAC, (broadcast, multicast, etc), it can be almost anything so not the issue here.
C- If the problem is stated as being unable to browse, it indicates then that perhaps other things work and that it wouldn't necessarily be a default gateway issue. It is a valid IP on the proper subnet too.
D - The computer obviously has an IP address
B- Browsing is dependent on DNS, so again if it is the specific problem and other things are working then it would point to the DNS.
Hope this helps
