Hi, I have a wireless controller 2100. I can't access it via browser, when I am connected to one of its physical ports.

I use the same subnet ip address as that of the management interface of the wlc.

What could be causing the problem. Please help.

Thanks in advance

Hi Suthomas1,

Cisco never recommanded to connect the AP directly to the WLC.(There are lotds of problems..u can face when directly connected.)

It is always better to use a switch in between.

Just buy power adaptor for the APs and connect to the switch.

Regards

By default, Management via Wireless is disabled.

This is found in Management > Management via Wireless.

the access is Not via wireless. my query is i cant access it when connected wired to the wlc port itself.

Hmmmm ... so you are connected DIRECTLY (PC to WLC) to the distribution ports?

Yes i am directly connected to the port. That port appeared faulty , it works on all other ports except that one.

Another query on this, can the ports on this controller be used to connect the AP's directly without having another switch in between.

Do we expect any problems with direct connection for the ap's.

Thank You.
