Weird problem - I have an ASR and a 2851 with HSRP on subinterfaces. I recently deleted a subinterface on both routers but I can still ping what was the HSPR virtual address from the 2851 but not from the ASR.
I tried re-adding the subinterface with a new ip address but can still ping the old one.
traceroute says the ASR has the address, there is no route or ARP for the address but yet I can can still ping it.
I have rebooted the 2851 since it is not passing any real traffic. Still no change.
Any ideas??
