Multi-VLAN environment where we can ping the ip address of the vlan 75 interface on a Cisco 3750, but not servers inside the vlan.
Environment:
Room A:
Core: 6509-E , VTP Server
Room B:
Hydrogen: 6509-E trunked to Core, VTP Client, all vlans allowed over trunk
SwA: 3750 trunked to 6509:Hydrogen, VTP Client, all vlans allowed over trunk
SwB: 3750 trunked to 6509:Hydrogen, VTP Client, all vlans allowed over trunk
VLANS:
201: 172.16.1.x/24 (clients/servers)
75: 192.168.101.x/24 (Storage Array/mgmt servers)
Trunk has ALL vlans allowed and dot1q encapsulation
ip routing is enabled
show ip route shows both vlans as (c) directly connected.
We can ping the ip address of the vlan interface 75 from vlan 201, but not servers inside the vlan75.
Suggestions?

Hi,
are the servers able to ping the IP address of the vlan interface 75?
Are they using this IP address as a default gateway?

Well the servers are in a locked room, so without physical access I could nto verify all of the network settings.
Finally got access this morning and verified the default gateway was incorrectly set on the affected servers.
Fixed that issue and all is well.
I was wracking my brain for days trying to figure that out. grr.
Thanks anyways.
